Building Large Reflector
<< Le parole conducono ai fatti(...........)Preparano l'anima, la rendono pronta e la portano alla tenerezza >> (Santa Teresa)
"TENDERNESS" - that's another word that we hear so often these days, especially on one occasion public and joyful like this: Think about it a moment:
when was the last time you used or heard you use?
E 'as rare as the other word, "soul"
Long after what I have said will be passed to mind, in a few weeks or few months, and the only feeling that remains for you to have attended a public meeting when you will see the end of an important time in your life and the beginning of a new, in developing your personal destinies, try to remember that words, the right ones, real ones, may have the same power of the shares. And remember also that little word that is used now almost disappeared from use, both in public and in private: Tenderness It can not hurt you. And the words, call it spirit or soul, if you prefer, if it makes it easier to claim that territory. Do not forget that either.
PAY ATTENTION TO THE SPIRIT OF YOUR WORDS OF YOUR ACTIONS. E 'PREPARE SUFFICIENTE.NON THERE' IN NEED OF OTHER WORDS.
Original title: "MEDITATION ON A LINE FROM SAINT TERESA"
This is the last speech that Raymond Carver held in public May 15, 1988 at the ceremony with which he was awarded an honorary degree in Literature from the University Hartford, Connecticut.Il text was subsequently published in No Heroics, Please uncollected Writings cit.
